But why is video becoming so popular? And what are the tricks to launching an effective campaign? I had these questions, and more, so I went right to the source and reached out to Dan Safkow,Video and Internet Marketing Expert, to get the INSIDER SECRETS on this growing phenomenon.
(Laura) Dan, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. I really appreciate your willingness to share your expertise! When I look at the short history of video, I’m amazed at the trends. YouTube had its official launch in December of 2005, and 5 short years later it exceeds 2 billion views a day. Up until this point, it’s primarily been leveraged for personal use, but in the last year more and more businesses and entrepreneurs have started leveraging this platform for business purposes… and with great success. Why are video marketing and video blogging such important considerations for businesses today?

The Know, Like & Trust factor is such a critical component of a successful sales strategy, and video can help one to achieve that across the miles. Now if someone is new to video and wants to produce quality videos on a budget, what hardware and/or services do you recommend?
(Laura) That’s great information Dan. I too have a Kodak zi8 and I love it! My favorite microphone is the Audio Technica 3350 and I’ve also found that using the Remote Control helps to make the process easier. So Dan, what are your recommendations for gaining widespread viewing of one’s video?

(Laura) That’s great advice Dan. Staying customer-focused instead of product-focused is such an important reminder for all aspects of marketing, not just video. As everyone knows, traditional online copy helps drive search engine results. Does video provide any SEO benefits, and if so, how?
