Are You Marketing to Facebook’s Largest Demographic?

With 500+ million users, 50% of which log in daily, and an average usage of 7 hours per month, it’s understandable why so many companies are leveraging the power of Facebook. It’s free, easy to use, and has potential for international interaction.

Facebook may have started as a social platform for college kids, but today it’s largest demographic is adults, ages 35 – 50. This is also the same demographic that has more disposable income than any other. Hmmmmm…..

So who is your target demographic? Are you using the power of Facebook to tap into them?

4 Ways to use Facebook to your advantage:

  1. Create a Facebook Fan Page. (http://www.facebook.com/pages) Be keyword-specific in the information you share in your description and use your Keywords. Invite your friends, family, and Facebook acquaintances to “like” your page.
  2. Build a sense of community. Promote interactivity and invite feedback from others. This is a great way to learn more about what your audience wants and to grow your brand.
  3. Optimize your news feed with viral videos, posts, etc. to gain exposure. Be sure to post content that is valuable and engaging to your target audience.
  4. Utilize a Facebook advertising campaign. (http://www.facebook.com/advertising) These can be fairly inexpensive, as you have control over the costs, and can definitely be effective.

I look forward to having you comment and share about your Facebook Marketing Success!
